road to M.Agr, part 1: research student

Let's start it!

Kemudian mengerjakan semua tugas atau belajar untuk kuis (yes! we have quiz almost every day, sometimes two in one day) sebelum beralih ke lab related stuff.

Memasuki libur musim dingin, saya berkunjung ke salah satu situs warisan dunia, Shirakawa-go. Saya pun sempat menghabiskan waktu beberapa hari di daerah Kanto (Tokyo dan sekitarnya) setelah ujian masuk dan selesainya kelas bahasa Jepang. :)

a random journey to Kanazawa, a city full with sweet memory

Actually I was planning to make a come back to this blog last year. I made this draft around the beginning of last year, but somehow I didn't finish it and it become forgotten. I decided to continue and publish. Hope you enjoy this article :)

I made a really random journey to Kanazawa on January last year. I said it random because my friend and I decide to go there just less than one week before our departure. All the preparation were done within four days (as the best I could remember). Honestly, as a perfectionist I never travel as random as that before, but it was fun! Let me start :D

After about three hours bus trip, we arrived at Kanazawa Station at noon. By the time I step my foot in the station, I can feel that nostalgic feeling. I've been there (almost) exactly three years ago for an exchange student program and made a lot of unforgettable memory. My japanese friend pick us up and we had lunch at station. Finding halal food in Japan nowadays is much easier, however it still challenging. Seafood usually the only choice I have in most of the restaurant. I had a delicious unagi that day. We were heading to 21st Century Museum after fulfill our stomach with delicious-(relatively)cheap food. Back then, I didn't enter the exhibition and just enjoying the free admission museum hahaha. So, this time I decide to buy the ticket. Although I am not really into art, I found it's interesting to spend some time enjoying those art in the museum. Please go to the website for further info.

One of free artsy stuff in 21st Century Museum. You can see my friend in the photo lol

Finish with some artsy, my friend brought us to take a look at Kanazawa university. Three years ago it was full with snow and this tropical girl is so happy to see snow, but last year there was no snow. It looks so different but still success to bring back those sweet memory :") After put our luggage and check in the guest house, we were strolling around higashichaya. It only takes less than 5 minutes on foot to go there from our guest house. This district is a popular place to see many old japanese house, and we even can take a look on geisha house. Since kanazawa is well known for its gold, although it was a very freezing afternoon, it didn't stop us to enjoy a cone of gold ice cream. The owner of the shop was so kind, he told the staff to make it for us although they just close the business. I can't describe how delicious the ice cream was. It was so soft and milky, I understand why people line up like crazy before it closed. We were the lucky last customer!

At the first night, we didn't really do many things outside. We just had dinner while somehow got a better understanding of kanazawa map. Three years ago, I always commuting from one place to the other place either by the university's bus or my japanese friends' car. So, I didn't really have the idea of how exactly we were moving. It just during this trip, I understand kanazawa's map..which is pretty simple hahaha.

The fireman festival. I'm super freezing even just by watch it.

On the second day, we bought one day pass and head to Kanazawa Castle. We bought the ticket for both the castle and kenrokuen, it is cheaper that way rather than you buy it separately and you can save the ticket for the next day if you feel like tomorrow gonna be a better day to visit the garden (like what I did, hoping the snow will fall and make the garden more beautiful). Every first monday on january every year (the second if the first one is national holiday), there is a fireman festival in the castle. We arrived there just on time and amazed by how great the performance was. It was a freezing morning but they give their best on the performance with water and almost naked!! I don't know if it because I'm a tropical girl so I feel it's crazy, but I did really enjoy the show! :) Kanazawa castle was the first castle I've visited in Japan, and I (once again) enjoyed that nostalgic feeling while explore the castle.

Kanazawa castle. The first japanese castle I visit four years ago :")

Finish with the castle, we were heading to Furusato Ijinkan or can be translated as Great People of Kanazawa Memorial Museum. As its name, it has collection and history of famous people from Kanazawa. Since my friend wasn't interested, so she waited in the first floor while I'm exploring the museum by myself. The ticket price is around 300 yen. I even took a selfie in the area of Jokichi Takamine, one of the most famous person on my field.

Another thing I like from Kanazawa is the city it self is not that big. Many interesting place are located close to each other. We went to the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Traditional Arts and Crafts. We can see many forms of traditional crafts from Ishikawa, as well as buying some if you are interested. When we went to the museum, there was an exhibition to make a gold craft. With less than 1000 yen we can make the crafts and bring the result home. I'm happy with the result, especially because we can choose the design we want. The sensei kindly told us step by step, so even with our not-so-fluent japanese we can make it! I am a craft enthusiast, this kind of activity is always on my list whenever I travel (as long as it's not that pricey).

We spent the afternoon by shopping, having dinner, meeting up with friend, and strolling around kanazawa station. If you have chance to visit Kanazawa, taking photo in front of the station is one of the thing you should do. It has unique design and one of the icon of Kanazawa. On this short escape, we took photos both day and night. Well, it's quite challenging at night especially because I didn't bring tripod for my camera.

Kanazawa station at night

On the third day, we start our journey by have breakfast at the popular fish market in kanazawa: oomicho market. We had our stomach full with delicious sushi. We went there really early in the morning just after we move our luggage to coin locker in the station. Most of the shop still not open yet by the time we were arrive, and by the time we out there is a long line outside the restaurant. Again, we were lucky customer! :D

With full stomach, we were heading to the Kenrokuen. We decided to go there on our last day, because we were hoping to see the garden covered with snow. However, the snow was hardly can be seen. This park is one of the three famous garden in Japan known as Nihon Sanmeien, together with Korakuen in Okayama and Kairakuen in Mito. It has the oldest fountain in Japan. You can enjoy strolling around the garden while enjoying its beauty and have some tea. I love to collect postcard, especially the unusual one. I got some wood postcards and bookmark there :) The location of Kenrokuen, Kanazawa Castle, and The 21st Century Museum are really close to each other. So, you can explore all of them in the same day.

Kenrokuen in the winter..without snow T.T

Before heading to the station where our bus will depart, we were strolling in Nagamachi Samurai District. It was not as crowded as Higashichaya District, but you can take some good photos there. It was very freezing morning in Kanazawa compare to Nagoya. As tropical girls, we were quite struggling to deal with the cold wind. If you want to come to Kanazawa on winter, better prepare yourself lol

Finally we went to FORUS and had some quite luxury lunch. It was during the lunch time, therefore most of the restaurant were having a long line. But, it was delicious and we were not ready to come back to reality! :)

One step closer to my dream! :)

Based on my own experience, saya sangat bersyukur saya melewati tahap research student lebih dulu sebelum masuk ke master course. People said, the first year gonna be the hardest.

2. Field of study and study program

4. Degree certification/certificate of graduation (Bachelor and Master)

5. Transcript (Bachelor and Master)
Mirip dengan poin sebelumnya, sebaikanya pelamar juga mempersiapkan salinan transkrip berbahasa inggris sebelum memulai perburuan beasiswa demi kemudahan pendaftaran.

6. Any records that shows the applicant was in the top-level category, such as GPA indication, rank order

7. Abstract of thesis
Abstrak dari penelitian di pendidikan terakhir. Saya salin langsung dari skripsi sarjana saya.

8. Documents validating nationality and residence status

9. Health certificate
Formulir untuk sertifikat kesehatan berisi tentang data kesehatan pelamar. Berhubung dibutuhkan waktu sampai hasil medical check up selesai, sebaiknya langsung melakukan tes kesehatan setelah mendapatkan formulirnya.

10. Declaration letter

It was a very long six months, I even had plan B and C successfully started when I got the notification.

Harap maklum kalau kurang detail. However, feel free to ask me any questions regarding this matter. I'll be happy to do my best to help you! :)

back from long hiatus

It such a funny things how I open this blog every three years. Thanks to Mr. Ghuw, finally I open this blog again. I re-read my post and everything was so random. I was young lol

Many things happen since the last time I posted here. I was posting about Mahabrata which surprisingly made quite a lot visitors to hit my dessert blog. Back then I was preparing my study to Japan. Yes, now I am in Japan. I have been here for almost two and half years. My master course will come to its end soon, and now actually I'm (kinda) busy with thesis and defense preparation.

I am considering to write more (at least) in the near future. See you in the next post!

mahabharat

Few days ago, I bought this book on bookstore. Finally, I finish to read it, and know the outline of the story. Where I have been..? Hahaha. Actually, if I'm not mistaken I've watched few episodes of Mahabharat when I was a child, but the airing schedule was didn't match my school hours. I remember almost nothing beside the cool Arjuna and the strong Bima :(

Well, do you know why I said the outline? It is because the book not really write the story completely. But still, it's a nice book and worth to read. I really enjoying time reading this book :)

*the photo was taken from my instagram account by bluring other books. sorry I'm too lazy to take the photo again. hahaha*

This story focused on the battle between Pandawa and Kurawa. For them who never hear about this story, Pandawa and Kurawa are Princes from Hastinapura Kingdom. While Kurawa is one hundred sons of King Destarata, Pandawa is five sons of Pandu. Actually, before Destarata become a king of Hastinapura, Pandu was the king. He was chosen to be the king because his older brother, Destarata, is blind. One day, Pandu is be cursed so he decide to move to jungle with his wives and hand over the kindom to his older brother, Destarata. By the help of Lord, he has five sons. His first wife, Kunti, give birth to Yudisthira, Bima, and Arjuna while his second wife, Madri, give birth to the twins Nakula and Sadewa. After the death of Pandu and Madri, Kunti brings her sons back to Hastinapura. The jeolusy of Kurawa toward Pandawa has begins even when they were a child. Kurawa treat Pandawa badly, but Pandawa try to be patient. The peak of Pandawa anger are where they back from 13-years isolation as the result of Kurawa's tricky game. Although Pandawa ask Kurawa to settle the problem peacefully by give Pandawa what they deserve to avoid the wars, Kurawa arrogantly refuse the offer. Kurawa believe that even the wars have to happen, they will win easily so they didn't want to fill Pandawa's request. The squad of Kurawa is much bigger in number than Pandawa's. Based on the book I've read the ratio between Kurawa's and Pandawa's are 11:7. Such a big difference, isn't? But, don't forget that Pandawa have Srikandi who destined to kill Bhisma, Dristadyumna who destined to kill Durna, Arjuna who destined to kill Karna, and Bima who sweared to kill Duryudana. Reading the battle story need more effort, because the roles on this book are...too much. I'm not sure I still remember every single detail about who is at which party if the author didn't mention Pandawa or Kurawa in the end of the sentences. Hahaha.

Currently, the series of Mahabharat (2013) by Star Plus are aired at Indonesia and also still aired in India. The image of the series are a bit different from the series I remember from my childhood memory. If you want, you can watch the series on Star Plus' Official Youtube Account and get more info on Mahabharat's Official Twitter Account :)

Since I've watched some episodes of the series (and I write the draft while watching it on TV), I decide to also write the casts of the stories plus their social media account that have found by me. Most of the description will be about their roles on the story not the actors or actresses themselves, because even I did a quick search I'm not really know about Bollywood world. Just click the link, and you will be directed to their account :) BELIEVE ME, IN THE REAL LIFE THE CAST LOOKS MORE HANDSOME :P

Rohit Bharadwaj as Yudisthira
He is the oldest son of Pandu, and grow to be a wise prince among his siblings. On many cases, he always want to settle everything peacefully and honor the noble values. But, even a wise prince, as human there will be time when he is being not wise. It's happen when he's challenged by Kurawa to join a tricky game. He is being influenced by the game, and not realize that he bet not only his wealth but also his siblings, himself, and Drupadi. The game ended by the lost of Yudisthira and resulted the isolation of Pandawa and Drupadi for 13 years.
Twitter: RohitVBhardwaj

Saurav Gurjar as Bima
Known as the strongest among Pandawa, he also known for his hunger and anger. He has the biggest body and able to defeat almost anything. As the result of his victory defeat the giant, Hidhimba, he married the giant's sister, Hidhimbi, and has a son named Gatotkaca strong like him. When Bharatayuda War happened, he is the one who killed Duryudana, King Destarata's oldest son and the leader of Kurawa.

Shaheer Sheikh as Arjuna (Arjun)
This charachter (and the actor too) is my favorite hihihi. I'm in love with him even since I watched the little Arjuna. He is known for his courage and his ability to fight especially with arrow. In the story, beside become one of five husbands of Drupada's daughter, Drupadi, he also married to Krisna's younger sister, Subadra. I love when Arjuna do archery and shoot the target. He looks charming at everything :)

Since he is my favorite I know more about him than other casts but it will be unfair if I describe much more things about him than other cast :p let me tell you something. On his official instagram account, he stated that he only has these two official accounts. So, don't be fooled by the fake accounts :)
Twitter: Shaheer_S
Instagram: shaheernawaz

Vin Rana as Nakula
The older of the twins, played by Vin Rana. The story didn't explained too much about him. What I get is, he is famous for his handsomeness and able to use sword nicely. I think he is number two handsome among Pandawa, after Arjuna of course. Hehehe.
Twitter: vinrana1986

Lavanya Bhardwaj as Sadewa (Sahadeva)
He is the youngest among Pandawa, and known for his abilty to predict the future. Same with hi older brother, Nakula, I dont know too much about this character :(
Twitter: lavanyabhardwa1

Saurabh Raj Jain as Khrisna/Wisnu
I love that annoying smile! Hahaha. He is annoyingly cute :)) Either on the TV series or the book, Khrisna is known to be smart and a bit tricky. His intelligence has saved Pandawa many times. One of the part of  the story about him is when both Arjuna and Duryudana ask Khrisna to help them on Bharatayudha Wars. As the first one who arrived on the castle, Duryudana claimed that he has right to get Khrisna's support. But, since Khrisna see Arjuna first when he opens his eyes, and he want to be fair for both party, he said that he will help both party and let them choose what they want. Arjuna, as the younger one, get first chance to choose between Khrisna's strong army or Khrisna himself that will not participate to fight on the wars. Duryudana getting panic, but he feel relieved after know Arjuna choose Khrisna instead of the army. This scene show that instead of choose what looks strong physically, you also also consider the brain behind it. Well, it's a bit spoiler :) He is my second favorite cast on the series who is start to steal more part at my heart, but he's taken :( :)
Twitter: saurabhraajjain

Arpit Ranka as Duryudana (Duryodhana)
As the oldest Kurawa, he plays an important role to influence other Kurawa. Even when he was a child, he already hating Pandawa. He can't stop teasing them because of his jealousy, and don't care about the ways as long as it result defeating Pandawa. I'm getting hate him even since I watch the little Duryudana for the first time on TV. Hahaha, sorry to say but the actors (both the little and older one) success makes me hate their roles. Or should I congratulate them for their success playing the role? :)
Twitter: arpitduryodhan

Praneet Bhatt as Sengkuni (Shakuni)
Oh God! This one is people I hate the most on the story. I hate his trick to incfluence King Destarata by use King Destarata's love for his sons. I wonder how could this kinda person is exist on the world. He seems like always have thousand ways to pursue what he want (although most of his plans are failed). I've searched about him, and he's quite handsome on real life. OMG! He really success play the role of Sengkuni. Hahaha.
Twitter: PraneetBhat

Wuiiiih. It seems like already a long post. Hahaha. Let me make it quicker from here. I will only write the cast name start from here and will updated this post if I found something more about them. Of course if I have extra time too. Hehehe :) I got my time and starting to update the post, but since the characters are so many and not all of them are in the story for a long time, I'm not sure that I can complete the description and their official account link for all of them. Hahaha :p

Sandeep Arora as Vikarna

Aham Sharma as Karna
Born as Kunti's first son, he was discarded by his mom who still not ready to be a mother at that time. He was found by coachman and being raised by them. When he was teenage he already show his ability at fight but his ability not accepted because his status as coachman's son. At that time only knight who has the right to learn about fight. Once, he was rejected by Durna, Pandawa and Kurawa's teacher, because of his origin. His anger toward Durna's treatment makes him swear that he will find other teacher to teach him. He fakes his origin, and finally able to learn about fighting although finally be found and get a cursed that will make him forget about the spell on the most determinate time. At first, I love this character (beside of his handsomeness), he also has a high honor of righteousness. But, as the result of getting too close to Duryudana and Sengkuni, I don't like this character anymore. Well, what I got from this character is, being unaccepted by his environment (even since he was a baby and by his own mother), makes him will do whatever to get recognition and will do whatever he want to thanks people who recognize his ability. Although those people are demonic.
Twitter: 1AhamSharma

Pooja Sharma as Draupadi
She is the youngest daughter of King of Panchala, Draupada. After the competition held by her father, he married to Pandawa. Well, I got different version of how this happen. On the book, it stated because the Pandawa have swear that whatever they get, they will share it fairly to the five them. But, on the TV series, it happen because Kunti told to share what Arjuna got without ask what he got. Pandawa and Draupadi getting shock, and at first they don't want to do that. I can't even imagine to marry more than one man, I don't know how Draupadi able to undergo her life with five husband. In javanese version of mahabharat, Draupadi not become Pandawa's wife. She just become Yudhistira's wife.

Nazea Hasan Sayed as Vrishali

Ankit Mohan as Ashwatthama
Twitter: ankittmohan
Instagram: ankittmohan

Shafaq Naaz as Kunti
Here it is the mother of the great Pandawa. She is describe to be wise, patient, and strong woman. She got respect from people because of her characters. Although she appears a lot in the stories, same like Nakula and Sadewa, I can't describe too much about her beside what I've mentioned before. Once my father said that the cast of Kunti looks too young, so when finally I do search about her..she even two years younger than me. She just turn 21 years old this year. OMG! No wonder she still looks young even with those make up. :)

Paras Arora as Abhimanyu
Born as the son of Arjuna and Subadhra, he inherit his father's ability to fight. He even explained to be more brave than Arjuna. Unfortunately he is killed in Bharatayudha Wars because of Kurawa's tricky ways. But, even until his last breath he show his courage to fight. He married to Uttari, Wirata's daughter. In the future, his son with Uttari, Parikesit, will be the King of Hastinapura. I don't know why, when first time I saw him I already know that he plays the role of Abhimanyu. Somehow his face resemble Arjuna. Hehehe.

What do you think after read this post? Do you interested to watch the series? Do you want to read the book? Well, if you ask me. I don't mind if someone give me the complete books of Mahabharat written in either English or Bahasa Indonesia. Hahaha. It's hard to found it here, I'm still curious about every detail of the stories. Especially because the book I've read, the series I'm watching, and what my dad said are not same in detail :) I also want to ask the Mahabharat's fans who love the books, have watched the series, and read this post, please feel free to commenting on this post and tell me if something wrong here. I just a newbie fan with lack knowledge about the series and stories :)

Oooopst. I've been in front of the laptop for more than three hours and it's already pass the midnight. Writing about handsome people always makes me forget about time. Since yesterday was the presidential election day on Indonesia, let me say that I hope whoever elected as the 7th president of Indonesia, he will bring Indonesia to be a better country and the election will ended peacefully. Aamiin and good morning night:)

beautiful Indonesia

Recently, my friend and I are arranging our plan to explore some places in our country. In my case, I passed them many times on my way to my parents' hometown or during fieldtrips, but I never really have a chance to enjoying their beauty. It has been an idea for years to go there as a backpacker, but it still remain an idea until now. Hahaha. So, when this idea seems so close to be true, I can't stop being excited to welcoming August :D

I use internet to found information about places I planned to visit. There are abundant information and tips to travel there with minimum budget but get maximum enjoyment. As a fresh graduate who waiting her master course to start, of course I want nice trip without spent too much of my saving. Hehehe. While browsing about it, somehow I remember that long time a go I found a nice video about how beautiful Indonesia is. This video is really nice and was presented in Indonesia Pavilion at World Expo 2012 in Yeosu, South Korea. Here it is the video..:)

You can found thousands of similar video on youtube. This kinda video always success makes me want to go to every place in Indonesia, explore them, and enjoying what God has created here. I hope someday I will be able to explore all Indonesia's beauty nature and share them to the world how beautiful Indonesia is. Well, travel around the world also part of my dream B)

For now, let's continue to arrange the plan for the nearest traveling schedule, and HAPPY FASTING for all moeslem around the world! Hope we can improve the quality of ourselves on this holy month. Aamiin :D :D

hello again, blog!

It has been almost three years since the last time I post on this blog. There are times when I burst into tears and can't stop crying for the whole night, or times when I laugh happily because I feel so blessed. Yes, many ups and downs I have through since three years ago. It makes me stronger and wiser. I learn that God give us what we really need, either it something we want or something we avoid, there is absolutely something we can learn from it. We will thank Him for it later :)

Recently I rarely have a chance neither to read english journal nor to communicate using english. As we know, language is an ability that need practice to master it. When we don't use it for a long time, it will be forgotten from our memory. So, I decide to write again on this blog because it will be a good media for me not only to express my opinion and spent my free time, but also to improve my skill to communicate in english.

I AM BACK TO BLOG AGAIN YEAAAY! :D

Do you excited to read my blog post from now? Well, I am not sure that anyone beside me really read this blog. Hahaha. I am on my way to clean up previous posts and redecorate the theme of this blog. See you on next post! ;)

analytical chemistry mid test

good morniiiing~~!! :)
happy monday morning, universe :)

today is the mid test day. I'm gonna have an analytical chemistry mid test at 9am. I'm afraid about how the result will be.. the instruments make me crazy. I'm not sure I can explain how does it works, the difference between one instrument and others. kyaaaaa~~~!!

I wish God helps me by giving me some miracles to answer all the question today. believing or not I slept more than six hours last night. seems like I don't have any test today, uh? I really can't help it when it comes to sleepy. I just realize I've everything I've to read in my notes. how can I'm not realize it before? lol
after the test I've to go to interview for my industrial sociology lesson. at least today I've no lab-ing activity. :))

well, it's 7am already here. it's about two hours remaining until test and I'm not take a bath yet. blogging is much more interesting than study those analytical instrument *kicked*
wish me luck, guys ;)
